BABCP accredited supervision for post-grads and trained therapists

Supervised practice is an essential part of psychotherapy training. People who are learning or practising the techniques of CBT or EMDR benefit enormously from regular contact with an experienced practitioner.

Supervision can be conducted:

  • Map Pin in person
  • Telephone over the telephone
  • Video Link through your choice of secure video conferencing platform

CBT Supervision

Monthly supervisory sessions are recommended for all BABCP members (including supervisors).

Russell Wharton is BABCP accredited supervisor and approved by the University of East Anglia as a supervisor for trainees on their Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy course. Russell has supervised groups and individuals through CBT courses at the UEA and Anglia Ruskin University. He also supervises trained and accredited CBT Therapists.

EMDR Supervision

Russell is an EMDR Europe approved consultant and provides supervision and consultation for therapists practicing EMDR and for those working towards accreditation. EMDR supervision can be provided nationally or internationally using telephone or secure video conferencing software.

Norfolk Therapy Services can offer EMDR supervision to organisations on either a contractual or ad-hoc basis.

Group supervision

Supervision costs can be reduced by arranging a group of two or more people. Please get in touch to discuss.


For self-funding individuals, the fee is £85 per session and includes additional email support. Please contact us to discuss group and corporate rates.
