Online therapy offers a flexible, effective and accessible way to access support without needing to travel to appointments. Many people find it easier to open up from the comfort and privacy of their own home, while sessions can fit more easily around work, family life and other commitments.

Benefits of online therapy can include:

  • Greater flexibility with appointments

  • No travel time or parking stress

  • Access therapy from home or another private space

  • Often more cost effective, particularly in big citys

  • Helpful for busy schedules, mobility difficulties or distance

  • A comfortable and familiar environment for therapy

Research suggests that online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face work for many issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma and stress. An important part of therapy is the relationship between therapist and client — and meaningful, connected and effective therapy can absolutely happen online.

Starting therapy for the first time can feel daunting. It really is a straightforward process that generally follows these steps:

  1. Book an assessment using the book an          assessment form and complete some basic    details including a  brief summary of the  problem.

  2. We will get back to you, normally by the next day with the offer of an assessment slot.

  3. The assessment involves  a discussion around the problem, relevant life style and medical factors, exploration of values, history and the agreement of goals and formulation of treatment plan.

  4. We aim to start treatment within 1-2 weeks of the assessment.

"Online therapy has been very beneficial for me. It has allowed me to get help from the comfort of my own bedroom. Each session felt helpful and tailored towards my goals.

I felt comfortable quickly, and felt able to discuss thoughts and feelings openly and without judgment. "

"I have been having some therapy sessions with Russell over the last 3 months. These have been online which have been a massive help to me as they allow you to manage a busy life as well as getting the support you need. The online sessions have worked just as well as they would face to face, and this is aided by Russell's manner."
